Report Sexual Abuse Crimes to the Police

The sexual-assault unit of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police is staffed regularly 7:30 AM – 9:30 PM weekdays; one detective works on Saturday. Detectives work on a callback basis during overnight hours.

Sex Offender Registry

North Carolina law requires residents convicted of a sexual offense, including sexual offenses against children, to register with their local Sheriff. The North Carolina Department of Justice maintains this information in a searchable Sex Offender Registry.
