YMCA Camp Director

Seth Langson showed that he would help an abused person take on the powerful when he agreed to represent a teenager against a YMCA camp director accused of abusing him during his preteen years.

As is often the case in abuse cases, the camp director/abuser came from a prominent family. One member even worked in the White House. Seth’s client, meanwhile, had no one to corroborate his story and had led a very difficult life following the abuse.

After carefully examining the circumstances under which the client first revealed the abuse, Seth believed the client and agreed to represent him. When Seth first filed suit on behalf of the victim, the district attorney was not interested in bringing charges. However, after another victim came forward and contacted Seth, criminal charges were brought, the civil suit was resolved and the abuser pled guilty.
