On Monday, WBTV reported about criminal charges that were pending against Bobby Price , former youth minister at Kingsway Baptist Church in Concord, North Carolina.

It is a privilege to represent the courageous young man who reported his alleged abuse to the Charlotte Police Department. In addition to the charges pending in Mecklenburg County, there are now additional charges of Indecent Liberties with a minor pending in Cabarrus County. These charges are based on the allegations of my client, as well as those of another person. I encourage any victim to contact the police.
It should be noted that all persons charged with crimes are entitled to a presumption of innocence.
You may not be able to comment, but I’d like clarification on this sentence: “These charges are based on the allegations of my client, as well as those of another person.” Does that mean that a second victim has come forward, or that another person is backing up the original allegations?
The record of the warrants is not yet apparently on the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s web site.

So there are two individuals in Cabarrus in addition to your client with charges in Mecklenburg for a total of three individuals? Or one in Cabarrus and one in Mecklenburg for a total of two?
There are charges in Mecklenburg County based on allegations by my client. There are charges in Cabarrus County based on charges by my client and another individual. I hope this answers your question. I continue to encourage any other victims to contact Detective Landers in Concord.

When you interview potential clients who have been sexually abused, what criteria and information do you use to make a determination if this person is telling the truth? Would you represent someone whom you thought was giving you false information; knowing it can ruin lives; and how do you make that determination?
So where does this case go from here? Are there any attempts being made to get Bobby Price back to the US? Will proceedings continue against his father and the church?
The civil action is proceeding against all three defendants.
