On Friday, November 5th Oprah will air an episode on male sexual victimization, co-hosted by movie mogul Tyler Perry. Tyler recently disclosed his own sexual abuse as a child on Oprah’s show and discussed the possibility of doing this show. Oprah called it “one of the most important shows we have done in the 25 years of doing this show”. If you can, I hope you will tune in to watch as more than 200 men abused as children were invited audience members and many participated in the taping of the show itself. In fact she decided to tape 2 shows on this subject and may do more. The second one will air the following Friday at the same time on Nov 12, dealing with the spouses of those abused and the consequences to relationships which have resulted from the men’s abuse histories.
